Lucas Battich obtained a B.A. (honours) in Philosophy at the University of Dundee, an M.A. in Communication at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam, and a Research M.A. in Philosophy at Radboud University Nijmegen, with specialization in Philosophy of Mind and Language. Lucas is currently a Ph.D. fellow at LMU's Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences.
"The Nature of Joint Attention: Perception and Other Minds". The central research goal of the project is to elucidate the relational nature of joint attention and its functional significance for joint action coordination. In particular, the project aims to clarify the role of perceptual experience in joint attention, and to develop suitable behavioural operationalizations for the study of joint attention in different sense modalities.
