Short Biography:
After completing an undergraduate degree in business at the University of Mannheim (Germany), Louis followed his passion of doing philosophy and started his philosophy degree at the University of Warwick (UK). During his undergraduate studies, he developed an interest in the topics of philosophy of mind and artificial intelligence which he brought together during his subsequent Master studies in philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich (Germany). Here, Louis has worked on the moral responsibility as well as next-generation learning ability of AI systems during course work essays and he wrote his Master's thesis on the agency of AI. Louis will begin his PhD studies on human-like perception in hybrid AI architectures in October 2019 under the supervision of Professor Ophelia Deroy.
